Returning to the Heart of the Healer Within

Co-authored by Jan Jennings & Dr. Darryl Luke Pokea

Dr. Pokea describes the process involved in returning to the heart of the healer within. He shares his insight that every thought, intention, action and relationship accumulates over a lifetime. Cumulatively, these contribute to the formation of heart ease or dis-ease in the heart’s 3 billion beats over a 75 year life span.

Any time we exclude, we occlude portions of the arterial system that supports life in our body or someone else’s body. Is it any wonder why there is so much heart disease?

Do not assume that she who seeks to comfort you now, lives untroubled among the simple and quiet words that sometimes do you good. Her life may also have much sadness and difficulty, that remains far beyond yours. Were it otherwise, she would never have been able to find these words.
Rainer Maria Rilke (writer and poet)

We have reached a critical impasse point in our human history. We all have many conflicts loading our mind and body that unconsciously may limit our personal and collective learning. The more we approach the challenges of world events with our conditioned flight, fright, fight responses, the less will be our understanding. Each of us is invited to understand that we form and perpetuate these personal and collective conflicts in our world. The disturbing events are the combined manifestations of our narrow perceptions, actions and limited consciousness that swirl and cycle rapidly through our minds as a boomerang returns to its sender.

As we are receptive and aware, the Higher Consciousness invites us to embrace those lessons, even as they are rapidly presented through all the intense worldly events we face. This awakening is offered in the midst of the conflicts. During these times of struggle, we may more fully participate in responsible living. Every response forms these matters and in each, we decide, whether to return to the Healer Within.

Regardless of the rationalizations and defenses that we succumb to in our mind, our body perceives and physically forms every thought, intention, and action. Each heart beat is pinched ever so slightly by any constricting ego-centric thoughts and greedy intentions, even before they are expressed in actions. The most miniscule thoughts, intentions, and actions of stinginess, dishonesty and hatred, disrupt and impede our heart’s beats.

When negative thoughts, intentions and actions occur towards any body, it is as though a vice grip is attached to our heart’s own body, pinching and even squashing its life-sustaining beats. Whenever we enter or remain in our fight, fright, flight responses, our thoughts and belief systems enter a state of rigidification. They are no longer liberating and compassionate. Our heart then proportionately beats less freely and lovingly for our body. Likewise, the vessels providing its nourishment become less flexible. In bettering our wellness, the heart of our body is marvelously sensitive to our gratitude, generosity, and genuineness, all which enhance its full rhythmic harmonic pulse and the free flow of life-sustaining nourishment through its vessels.

Our heart beats over 100,000 beats per day, nearly 40 million beats per year, and at least 3 billion times in a 75 year life span. Is it any wonder that all of our thoughts and intentions, as much as our actions, accumulate over a life time and contribute to the formation of heart ease or dis-ease?

Heart-felt connections are chosen and healthy relationships heal. When you have a healthy relationship with your self, you will have healthier relationships with others. This lesson begins within so it may universally be learned without as well.

We tend to arrange all of our interactions with others through our minds in a range from positive to negative. Our negative experiences are often shadow aspects of ourselves that we do not wish to look at. We bury them in the darkness of our unconscious. In infinitely evolving consciousness, these interactions reflect our lessons in discovering our heart-filled path deeply within.

Luminous consciousness urges us to dissolve all the mind’s artificially assigned barriers both inside and outside ourselves. Then we may recognize that we have generated both pleasant and unpleasant connections with others. As we compassionately exchange with one an other, we may shine light on the shadow and begin to understand the true aspects of self/Self.

You must give birth to your images. They are the future waiting to be born. Fear not the strangeness that you feel. The future must enter you long before it happens. Just wait for the hour, the birth of new clarity.
Ranier Maria Rilke

A mind once stretched can never return to its original dimension
Albert Einstein.

Ranier Maria Rilke teaches us that Luminous Consciousness continuously nudges and lights our understandings that we ourselves birth. Albert Einstein reminds us that the process traverses linear (singular) dimension and perpetually evolves. The images within the mind rebirths the body into fuller participation with all the dimensions offered by the Healer Within.

When our responses are interwoven with the fabric of ever-expanding spirituality, Higher Consciousness is rediscovered within our human consciousness and illuminates our path within as we walk and talk in Light. The practical lessons are presented through each of our responses that weave within us and through our relationships with each other. The lessons are expansive, inter-dimensional and holistic as we learn viscerally, through the care of our body and every body. Heart-felt luminous understanding permeates every thought, each word, and action as we accept and embrace our own invitation through fuller participation in perpetually Illuminating Consciousness.
